High School Counselor

Gerson Semedo

I believe that education is instrumental in shaping God-fearing people into agents of change. I began my journey at Eastern Nazarene College, where I completed my B.A. in Religion, with a focus on Christian Ministry in 2005. Soon after I graduated from the University, I was hired as the Assistant Chaplain, where I worked from 2005-2008. During this time I created and coordinated several projects that served to broaden student’s spiritual, social, and cultural perspective. I completed my M.A. in Counseling in 2008 from the same university.

My journey in the field of counseling has taken me from the university setting, to governmental housing, working with social services to provide a more holistic approach, continuing into the public school setting, where I served as an in-house counselor.
It is a privilege to work for a school that seeks to make visible the presence of Christ in all facets of its working.
